Shoot, that stinks. And adding insult to injury, one of the guys in front of him on the depth chart (Daniels) went down for the season earlier in the day, meaning that for a short time, Buzz was probably looking good to get a lot of playing time this year.
I know an achilles tear is a serious injury, but let's all give Alex a good thought for a quick and full rehab.

That's terrible - my thoughts go out to Alex on what must have been a truly disappointing weekend. At least he can say that his loss drove the Redskins to replace him with Jason Taylor...

As sad as this is, the coverage of it has been positive. Buzbee was called an "up-and-comer" and a "possible contributer" on AM 980 yesterday afternoon. It sucks that he's out for the year. But, heres hoping that he may actually have a role in the Redskins long term plans.

Buzbee was called an "up-and-comer" and a "possible contributer" on AM 980 yesterday afternoon. I heard that report too and my sadness at hearing it was soothed somewhat by hearing the word "Georgetown" uttered in a football related story. It was also carried on the ESPN radio national sports update with Georgetown being mentioned.

Guess I'll wait another year to buy a Redskins jersey...
