news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7484517.stmMandela was put on the list due to his involvement with the ANC, which the US government listed as a terrorist organization (following the apartheid government's lead). To be fair, Mandela and the ANC did (reluctantly) use violence, so their presence on the terror list in the first place wasn't entirely unjust. What is shocking is that it took this long to take them off.

I guess Mr. Bush took this measure because the "first black President" didn't.

I guess Mr. Bush took this measure because the "first black President" didn't. Yeah, and at this point, I'm sure any Republican with common sense would prefer that George not even bother take on any serious new political initiatives because everything he touches is as good as poisoned by his abysmally low approval rating...not to mention is complete and utter incompetence.

I can't believe they did this.
Now that we're unsuspecting, he'll strike like a cobra.

I would think you would applaud Bush for this instead of merely stating your dislike for him.

I think Congress deserves the blame/credit for this instead of the Presidents we've had since 1990. This was a Congressional bill, not an Executive Order.
