. . .wouldn't a draft sleeper be someone who is drafted but ends up being a solid pro? He shoulda said Roy (although Jon is a good response) Maybe he knows something about Roy that would steer him clear of making such an assertion ...

If you're drafted in the first round, you're not a sleeper. It doesn't have anything to do with your pro performance.

i don't think it has to be in the second round, just anyone who wasn't one of the higher picks and then exceeds expectations. David West and Tayshaun Prince went in the first round, but I'd call them sleepers. No one expected them to be as good as they have been in the pros and if their class were redrafted, they'd go much higher now. Tony Parker too. Obviously the big ones are Arenas, Redd, Ginobli and Boozer, but I don't think you have to be in the second round.

I guess old people aren't that smart after all. Thanks for your excellent analysis.

Ah, just jokin' easyed. Being "easy", you shouldn't take my jokes so seriously! Since a joke about where ed got his "easy" would be too... er... not too difficult... I'll just say I think he's probably right. Ewing's got a lot going for him and it wouldn't shock me to see him in the NBA next year or in the future, but this board talked ourselves into Brandon getting a shot as well, and he has some things Ewing doesn't (and vice versa). The point is, there's a pool of about ninety players for maybe twenty-thirty spots. It's not anywhere close to a given.

Have there been any updates about Pat's stock in the draft?

He is not mentioned in ESPN's 2nd round mock although I think a lot changes over the course of the draft.

ESPN included like 3 or 4 guys in that 2nd Round that they said would never move to the States. I don't understand why they think a team would draft them then, unless the team just doesn't want any chance at new players. Pat might make the end of the draft where teams are looking at puzzle pieces to win championships. I still think the Spurs, Rockets, or Jazz might go for it.

There's sixty guys in play for the last twenty spots, I'd bet. Mock drafts have no idea, and neither do we.
Best of luck to Pat.

I suspect he will not get drafted, but will sign as a free agent and be in someone's camp. For the right team, he might be able to get a spot. If not, there's definitely a spot for him in Europe.
