I was told there was a kinescope of the 1970 NIT game but have no idea if or where it would reside.
MASN has done a good job showing some older games--anyone who has not seen the 1982 Missouri game would be well advised to do so next time it is available, as well as the 1984 Big East championship game.
Anyway, here are five games I'd like to see televised again:
1. 1980 Eastern Regional Semifinal vs. Maryland; one of those turning point games that helped define the program.
2. 1984 NCAA first round vs. SMU: Were it not for one late rebound, the Hoyas could have been out in the first round. 37-36...it was that close.
3. 1985 Eastern Regional Final vs. Georgia Tech. Ralph Dalton saved the Hoyas in this one versus a strong ACC team.
4. 2000 NIT first round vs. Virginia: Two not very good teams who nonetheless gave a tremendous 3OT effort.
5. 2006 vs. Duke. Was at the game, and didn't see that many highlights; again, a turning point in the program and perhaps a game which began an inevitable downward stretch for Duke. It may take a few years (much as 1989 Princeton-Georgetown was the first crack in the Hoyas' armor), but that game may be the one that Duke fans may look back upon as the high watermark.

I would also strongly recommend the '82 game at MSG. 41-9 in the first half and Louie out of time outs. It was the first hint of the potentially devastating nature of that team and our program.

Way to scoop me on the 2000 Virginia game, DFW. The first postseason game I experienced as a Georgetown student. To add a very small cent to this discussion, I think many of us in "Generation Burton," to borrow a problematic phrase, would put Demetrius Hunter's dunk on Eddie "DWM" Griffin of Seton Hall on 1/18/01 as the high water mark of the Escherick era. We were young and stupid then, but it felt as though that team was really going somewhere. Seton Hall was, at the time, a highly regarded team, and we were taking it to them on national TV. It seemed like that young nucleus was primed for a nice 2-3 year run. We all know what actually happened, of course, but at the time - magic. For those of us unlucky enough to have never seen a Thompson coach - we'll always have that dunk.

I have the 2006 Duke game, both UNC games, an Iverson/UConn game from '95 in the BET (not the finals from '96, but from his freshman year), and 2006 OSU game if people can figure out a way for me to share them.

I used to have that clip on my computer until it died. The beuatiful thing about it was that I think Seton Hall was playing a zone, and Griffin was well established under the rim. But the good times after that posterization quickly vanished later that week when Pitt's Julius Page dunked all over Boumtje in a home loss. Oh... and I prefer "Generation Samnick":

Wow, great games.... do thay happen to be on DVD Jimmy Hoya? If so, I'd be happy to contibute whatever it takes to get copies. I'm sure there would be other takers on this board if we made some duplicates. I fear we are skating on dangerously thin ice with the moderators... if we manage the profit carefully... there is good $ in this. But seriously, if there is a way... I'm a willing buyer.

Oh... and I prefer "Generation Samnick": Samnick lost generational privileges for me when I was at Yates one day filming a segment for GUTV and accidently caught Vic shooting around in the background and bricking about 17 shots in a row. If that tape ever resurfaces I'll post it. "Generation Hillier," "Generation Scruggs," and "Generation Jameel Watkins' concrete hands" all have nice rings to them, though.
