What are the greatest Georgetown players by jersey number?
Who was the best player to wear a #4, for example, a #20, or a #32 (Al Blozis, end of discussion.)
OK, 98 more to go. Nominations welcome.

I think this is in impossible task, as it would require knowing an aweful lot about a team that plays no televised games. It's not like you're asking who is the best #6 in Notre Dame History, as the average Gtown player probably has no idea who Al Blozis is or was. For most of us, knowledge is limited to the period in which we played and perhaps a few years after. I'd say the two best athletes I played with over my four years were Gharun Hester, who broke out after I graduated, and Janne Kouri. Those two guys could have legitimately played D IA somewhere.
Now I don't know a lot about the history of 34's at Gtown, and Augie Lio might have scored a few touchdowns back before helmets had face masks, but I bet he never scored with two chicks at Winstons in the same night.

LOL!
Well keeping it historically relative, the best 14 was Andrew Crawford. You know who else wore that number? Jack DeGioia! (at least according to a traditions day calendar)

79 - Frank Terrazzino
started every game once he got to the hilltop - thats 44 straight games folks...
i was blocked by and blocked with him during my tenure at Georgetown. he came to work everyday and played every snap. definitely one of best Offensive Lineman at Georgetown ever

No doubt, Frank was a great player. But just a few years before, Murray Happer wore #79. As anyone who saw Murray play can attest, the guy was an absolute force. I think he won the team MVP award his senior year (correct me if I'm wrong on that one), which is no easy feat for an O.T.

Don't forget about Robert Quigley. I forget his number, but he was one of Georgetown's best Olinemen of the modern era.
#14 was JJ Mont. Arguably the best QB in Hoya History (most wins as a starter I think)

Seriously, we can suck our friend's and former teammate's #$#%'s all day long on this thread. What about something more interesting, like "most outrageous locker room story?"

#40 Ryan Fugit- long snapper. I don't think he botched a snap in four years and managed to keep himself busy for the duration of practice everyday. He also showed up at every morning meeting, despite the fact that they were 100% pointless for him. I believe he flies attack helicopters for the US Army now, which probably has to do with the pent up hostility from the hundreds of hours spent on Kehoe snapping balls into a lacrosse net.
On the same note: #30 Danny Paulus- holder. Danny saw some time at receiver as well, but truly shined as a holder. He and Fugit were a great team within the team. Legend has it that while growing up in the Paulus household there were weekly athletic competitions to determine which children could sleep inside the house for the upcoming week. In the fall of '95 Danny unselfishly volunteered for the position of holder when none of his 21 brothers were willing to do so. On a 48 yard field goal attempt in 14-13 game, Danny made a miracle recovery on a botched snap by older brother Tommy, and Marc Samuel Paulus made the winning kick. The rest is history.

I heard that marc samuel paulus is going to make the 49ers 53 man roster as a kicker / lead council.
also, heard that Reuben Boumtje-Paulus is a 20 point and 20 rebound prospect that is looking at GU. That kid was dunking a basketball at 11.

The masked bandit unfortunately was a locker room story that has stuck with me.
