Bus fare? Really? The guy on the street I gave change to yesterday managed to scrape bus fare together.

Kind of BS to lock Vic up for 6 weeks for failing to appear on time (as opposed to at all). I would think his attorney could get him out despite the order.

The last time I saw Victor was a few days after the Umass tournament game. He was disconsolate over the criticism he and Allen were receiving about the way they played against Padilla and Travieso (and where are they now?). This a sad tragedy. Hope he gets his life back together soon.

That game is right up there on my hatred list. No crying, but just a massive amount of swearing. We got so slapped around...

We still owe Calipari - hoped to pay it back this year, maybe next season.

Page is the poster child for players who should have stayed in school for four years. Padilla and Travieso are two outstanding residents of Puerto Rico. They played in the P.R. basketball league until recent retirement and are coaching in the same league, scouting for NBA teams and one is an agent of pro athletes and the other also works with young athletes' (not only basketball) development. They are using their respective experiences to help underpriviledged kids understand the advantages of a college education through athletic scholarships and what the whole experience is like.

Victor came up hard -- looks like he's going out that way too.
Maybe the greatest lost talent who ever played at Georgetown.

Complementing Victor, we had four players on that squad who went on to success in the pros - Allen, Jahidi, Othella, and Jerome Williams. I still get ribbed by my fellow new englanders about that 24 point margin.
I'm usually not one for the victimization angle, but Victor lost both parents as a teenager(mother had aids), and never really recovered from that. He's still a young man with many years ahead of him, let's hope.

Wait, if we lost to UMass in the Elite 8, they would have gone to the Final Four. But the official records for the Final Four that year don't list UMass as a participant.
Stupid Calipari.

I don't think I have posted in years. UMass cheated. Their post season record for that year doesn't count, they had to give up the wins. Next time a UMass fan gives you grief about the loss, just remind him about the cheating.
