Hopefully foeva will latch onto whatever NBA team gets Roy, and spend his time complaining on their boards about the failure to get the ball to the rookie big man! Then again, with the No. 1 big man coming in next year, our "low basketball IQ" guards had better spend their summers working on those entry passes - foeva will be watching!!

The poster at the bottom of that article was completely correct. We get Roy the ball more - we are a different team. All year. We ignored him all too often. When people talk about next year and us possibly being better I think its because they don't see us being "bogged" down by trying to get the ball down low all the time...thats all well and good but Jessie, and Dujuan (who were guilty of ignoring Roy a lot this year IMO) will realize what the big fella brought to the table...(constant double teams) and will struggle through that development.
i can't help but be bitter... we had the potential to be National Champs...but we never played to that potential - except in small 5 to 10 min spirts.

I'm ashamed to be associated with a fan like that.

I think that guy was being dissrepectful - but I also think his point about getting the ball to Roy would have made us better. Esh is no comparison to JTIII

eh, I can't agree with you guys on this one. IMO, Roy didn't get the ball because he didn't want the ball. He's 7'2..he has to fight for positioning. There would be times when I would look at him after running down the court and he would be thrown around the post. Roy's opponent sometimes had their way with him. When he wanted to (see Wva game in the BET) he was a BEAST down low. But he rarely had that "go-get 'em" pitt bull mentality. I'm more than confident that both Dajuan and Jessie would have fed the big man if he played a little more aggressive down low. I'll tell you guys, two points IS two points. But nothing disappointed me more than Roy laying the ball up off the glass instead of throwing it down his opponents throat.

Even though statistically Roy was one of the best big men in the country in assists, it seemed to me that once he got the ball on the blocks, he was like the "black hole" the ball was not coming back. This was true if the opposition ran another guy at him. Now granted he made a majority of the shots or was fouled, but this may be the cause of the other guys trying to find another option in the offense before going to Roy. Roy had to work hard on his post moves so you can't blame the guy for taking the shot once he started his move. Most of his assists seemed to come from the high post set rather than low post . The post-receive pass-pass out -repost sequence just did not come natural to Roy.

I don't see how you can say Roy should have played more aggressively when any aggression on his part was called an offensive foul.
