I think we matchup better with davidson than gonzaga, so I wasn't too dissappointed that they pulled one off. Mr. curry meet Mr. Rivers, he'll be escorting you to your second round exit...thanks for coming...have a nice departure.

If we go after it on D and keep pounding the boards, I'm confident Rivers and Wright can slow Curry down enough to allow us to prevail in what will be a very anti-Hoya crowd. Even though we did not play our offense with precision today, 22 points allowed in the 1st half and our vaunted defense can carry us a long way. Hoya freakin' saxa.

We need to force feed Roy all day and come out of the gate and half with some energy. That was a sleepwalk effort and it is going to take more to take the crowd out of that game!
GO GU !!!

Put Ewing on Curry for a big chunk of the game -- make Curry shoot over a much bigger guy.

Agree with Gold....Ewing on Curry....I am comfortable with my conclusion that any advantage Rivers gives us on defense is lost given his liability on offense

What is the over/under on Curry's points scored?
Our opponent's leading scorers never seem to achieve their per game average.

I think Yahoo does that as a default. They did it yesterday with MU-Stanford, originally listing it as 2:15pm.

Curry averages 25 ppg.
My over/under on his scoring against GU is 15.

Didn't get to see the Davidson game today, and looking at their roster wouldn't really provide me with answer, so I'll ask here. Do they have any tall people at all who might be able to guard Roy?

I would not mind seeing Wright play a big chunk against Curry. Anyone but Wallace. Hoyas are going to have to fight through those double screens, but should be fine.

riverrs has shown he can shut down an opposing star. he doesnt have to be effective on offense but just stopping curry would be a HUGE benefit to our chances.

Yeah but then Curry can guard Rivers who is NO threat on the offensive end, so he won't have to expend energy on the defensive end against the Hoyas. We MUST make him guard a guy and EXPEND lots of energy on that end to take away from his offensive effectiveness. I love Rivers' heart and effort as much as the next guy, but I AM getting tired of his "assists" to the opponents... BTW.. Congrats Hoyas!! Keep it going!!
