it is out there, maybe not yet, but in the past there have been maps available that show you which markets will play which games, any idea how and when to find them? an example of what i am talking about from last year grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/bige/sports/m-baskbl/auto_pdf/pitt-wrightst.pdfwhen someone finds it for out games please post it here. my local CBS in LA has posted which games they will cover on thursday on their website but hasnt listed friday yet, i would be shocked if we were the team but i want to know for sure and mainly i want to know where to find the coverage map for sunday and other games.

Yeah, I was just going to ask the same question. I have also seen it done just as a list of all the affiliates with the corresponding games. I know there were some members here who posted it last year.

I haven't heard anything about this year to make me think otherwise, so if you're in DC (or any other market where we will be the game shown on the local affiliate) and planning to watch online you probably won't be able to.

Gtown/UMBC is against Butler/SouthAlabama, UConn/USD, Texas/Austin Peay and Marquette/Kentucky for the time slot. You should be able to make a pretty good guess on whether or not you get it based on location.

For CBS' online player, I was just checking it out, but look at the link right below the player (above the options that you can watch): "Boss Button" ... thats pretty funny and ingenious

direct tv must be paying a pretty penny for the exclusive rights for pay per view ncaa tourney games, but you would think that a greedy organization like the ncaa would realize how MUCH MONEY they could get by opening up that service to the cable providers. i would pay that $69 in about 3 seconds flat to see all the games. the online service is cool, but not nearly the quality of a tv broadcast.

yeah the the quality of the online feed is no where close to TV, but the games that i am planning on watching on it arent ones that i am really interested in. i mostly want to know the score and see how the teams are play for the implications in my bracket.
that Boss Button is funny, it puts up a spread sheet looking screen over the player and mutes the sound

Since UConn is playing the same time as GU, I guess that means all of us here in the NYC area will not see the Hoyas.

I think I remember having this same problem but I just re-registered an account and put in a different zip code. Not entirely positive that works but if you encounter problems it's worth a shot

I am in Florida and am hoping that the Hoyas are NOT the feature game. The reason is that even if the Hoyas are the feature game, the stations are constantly breaking in to breakcast other games. If the Hoyas get a large lead, you won't see hardly any of the second half.
If you log onto NCAA.com, you can sign up to see all of the games (except the local feature game)on your computer for FREE and there will be no breakaways to other games.
BTW, I am rooting for Gonzaga to beat Davidson in round one. If Davidson wins, then the Hoya-Davidson game is likely to be the feature game and I can't see it uninterrupted on my computer.

If you are in DC or another city where TV is showing Hoyas and you want to watch online instead, you need to register under an address that is located in a city where they are definitely not showing the Hoyas (like Hartford). This will allow you to avoid the local online blackout. Worked last year.

Another topic that seems to arise every year - I believe the blackout is based on your IP, so that you cannot just enter a different email. In fact, I always use my georgetown.edu email and it blacks out the "local" game - when I was in Seattle, Bozeman or here in Salt Lake City.

A coworker mentioned that the the online MMOD will not have the blackout this year -- I don't have a link to verify, though.

You should be able to make a pretty good guess on whether or not you get it based on location. Isn't Marquette-Kentucky on Thursday? You're correct. There can only be four game per slot (as there's only four sites per day). Butler-South Alabama tips at about 2:45pm GU-UMBC tips at about 2:55pm Ucon-USD tips at about 3:00pm Texas-Austin Peay tips at about 3:00pm
If we get lucky and advance, we play at 2:40pm or 5:15pm on Sunday Either the Clemson/Nova v. Vandy/Siena game or the Drake/WKY v. Ucon/USD game will tip at 2:40pm Butler/South Alabama v. Tennessee - 2:30pm Memphis v. MSU/Oregon will tip at approx. 4:45pm Louisville v. OU/St. Joe's - approx. 5:00pm
