He's been to a lot of games this year. Glad he's doing well enough professionally to make it out to Sweet Point on the weekends.

Where is he playing? I thought he was going to europe? What is Smith Pointe? Not playing. Went back to Montenegro for a stretch after graduation, but came back to the US to work.

Smith Point is a bar. It has created a buz by only allowing people in off a list. Its a typical bar as bars go (over charging at the door and at the bar, plays decent music if you have the same taste as the dj that night etc.) The problem with the place is the people that go there. Most (I'm sure not all) have that "upity" look down their nose at you feel about them.
Generally speaking - its nothing to get worked up about. Unless you've been negged by the bouncers and feel excluded in which case you'll hate it.

generally speaking, i'd agree with joey ...
but most people who "hate" the place wouldn't be caught dead there, let alone feel envious or "excluded" ... most people laugh at the place because it's the hitching post for the late night shots crowd, who are are undeniably hilarious

all the people that go there that i have met are the type that will go out of their way to tell you that they are on the list to get in

Where exactly is it in Gtown? What did it used to be? google provides a really wonderful free search service: www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/?node=cityguide/profile&id=1072759it was there when i got back from studying abroad (summer 02), can't remember what it was before EDIT: from sietsema -- "In previous incarnations, this location has played host to an Indonesian restaurant and an eccentric French eatery. "
