Oh man. I hope we beat them by 10 on Saturday.
Then I hope we beat them by 30 in the BET.
Time for history to repeat itself.

jt3 should coach the most aggressive gameplan of the season, where we literally just drive to the hoop every time and get fouled... i want at least 30 more FT attempts than they get.

I just want everything to click, we go up 20 points within the first 10 minutes, and we coast from there. Let's not let the refs have a say in this one.

People should get over the "questionable call" in the Villanova game. It was a foul. The only decision the ref had was whether to not make a call the rules say he should make because of the time (which he did not know) left on the clock. If he didn't call it, despite maybe not wanting to decide a game that way, he would have been not doing his job.

I love how we get ticky-tack touch fouls called on our guards and Roy gets bludgeoned all game, every game without a whistle, but a few questionable (although usually correct) calls end up on sportscenter, and everyone across the country thinks we're cheating our way to wins. As far as I'm concerned, we're still a net negative on the ref-karma scale, with the Florida game and Greg Oden's flagrant charge. At this point, I WANT to have a game blatantly handed to us by someone from the Tim Donaghy school of refereeing.

Can we all agree to stop putting the word "gate" at the end of every controversy? The Watergate was the name of a hotel where a burglary took place and now we've had Lewinski-gate Spygate, Ref-gate and about a million other "-gates" that don't make any sense whatsoever.
It's probably my biggest pet peeve at the moment, having recently passed "awareness".

I thought some of the best commentary I heard over the Obama aide's comments over NAFTA were that the controversy shouldn't be called NAFTA-gate, because that sounds too awkward. He suggested NAFTA-quiddick. Brilliant. Sorry to go off topic.

Ooh, -gate-gate rears its ugly head at Hoyatalk. You know what totally cheeses me off? I mean really burns my biscuits? When people use the same word twice to desribe a controversy, such as "gate-gate" That's right. I just unearthed gate-gate-gate. Deal with it.

We should probably call it, "Ref-water."

We should probably call it, "Ref-water." That's my point exactly! Ref-water or Spy-water would be just as reasonable (and just as unreasonable) as slapping -gate on the end of everything. But no one in his right mind would come up with those terms. Why are we allowing this to stand!?

...a case the media has dubbed "beat up waiter." this reporter suggested "waiter-gate" but was shouted down at the press club.

Sounds like a ref-erendum is in order.
