Just checked out stubhub and there are plenty of affordable tickets. If you post on this board and are in driving distance of Verizon do everything you can to get to the game. I think this will be one of those games you'll be kicking yourself if you miss and if any senior class deserves an amazing sendoff this one does. Since some of the students are on spring break the non-student fans need to bring everything they got.

Exactly. If you find yourself saying, "I'll take a pass - I'm sure other people will show up and be loud", pinch yourself and get to the arena.

I will be there. I hope to see Verizon full of gray with plenty of students coming back for the game. I know that they are on a well-deserved spring break, but does someone from HB have any idea of how many students are coming to the game?

It really is a bummer - for this game in particular there should be a re-allocation system for student tickets going unused or, worse yet, given to cardinal fans...the two sections behind the basketball are far too valuable real estate to be only half-full for this game.

The Georgetown ticket office absolutely HAS to be doing something productive with the hundreds of student tickets that were surely not picked up. Has anyone called the ticket office or hoya hoop club to see about availability to Georgetown fans? If they are still able to give tickets out at this late stage, I think that has to mean that they are actually utilizing those unused student tickets.

The GU Alumni Club of Metro DC is selling tickets to members. It's super easy to get a ticket; just know that they're in the 400 level and Wednesday is the last day to get them.
Go to sporg.com, punch 97583 into the purple "Jump to" field on the left side of the screen, and it should take you to the event.
Remember, you have to be a member to get a ticket. Members also get free food at Bar Louie on gameday, and folks who buy tickets through the Club will get free drink tickets as well (probably 2 per ticket), so it's a pretty good value.
LET'S GO HOYAS!
[EDIT: IMPORTANT! The GU Club has now sold its entire allotment of tickets. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you to the hundreds of Hoya fans who have bought tickets!]

Hypothetical question: if you're a student and for whatever ridiculous reason, you don't have a ticket for Sat. but want one, can you go to Mcdonough to buy one right now?

I also noticed a few student section tickets for sale on Stubhub - if you are doing that you should not be allowed to sit in the student section next year.

Hahaha, now if that's the case I'll make it a point to keep my eye on that particular entrance from my seats in 118, b/c I betcha we'll have at least one funny-awkward moment when some portly 45 year old dude in a Brian Brohm jersey tries to explain why he doesn't have a wristband or a GOCard.

Speaking of getting to the Verizon Center: Avoid the Red Line. WMATA is replacing a switch at the Van Ness station causing all hell to break loose. Some trains will be terminating at Farragut North and turning around there will also be single tracking and potentially 30 minute delays. www.wmata.com/about/met_news/story.cfm?ID=1732

Thanks St. Pete. Am I alone in thinking that this should be tacked up at the top of the front page?
