I hope in a long line of laws that he has broken. Can this be the beginning of the end for scottie? Of course, the 2nd in command is not any better.

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts as well as this one is right in your wheelhouse.

Second in command and recently confirmed by the Senate is former coal lobbyist, Andrew Wheeler: www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/the-senate-is-about-to-confirm-a-coal-lobbyist-as-top-epa-deputy/2018/04/12/b1bb6844-3dbe-11e8-a7d1-e4efec6389f0_story.html?utm_term=.e7b5b85d712cThe morale of my former co-workers is in the basement. Not only has Pruitt reversed many of the programs that we had researched and fought hard to protect the environment, but he has considered himself somewhat above normal leading of the EPA. He has made his floor at the EPA off limits for all employees except those with a "hall pass". He has removed or re-assigned employees, who question him. WAhttps://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/05/business/epa-officials-questioned-scott-pruitt.html WASHINGTON — At least five officials at the Environmental Protection Agency, four of them high-ranking, were reassigned or demoted, or requested new jobs in the past year after they raised concerns about the spending and management of the agency’s administrator, Scott Pruitt. The concerns included unusually large spending on office furniture and first-class travel, as well as certain demands by Mr. Pruitt for security coverage, such as requests for a bulletproof vehicle and an expanded 20-person protective detail, according to people who worked for or with the E.P.A. and have direct knowledge of the situation. I don't want to derail this thread, which covers important substantive issues, but I do want to express my amazement that a hifigator thread is still alive, all these years later.

And this: www.nytimes.com/2018/04/12/climate/epa-scott-pruitt-pasquale-perrotta.htmlI would imagine that you're both furious and disheartened (to put it kindly) about what is going on and how it's undoing some of what you dedicated your life to doing. I have to believe that, sooner than later, reality and rationality will prevail. Hopefully at least some of your former colleagues are there to see the pendulum swing back in the right direction. As an American and as an Earthling (does that get capitalized?), I thank you for your work and I very much hope that you know that it was neither in vain nor unappreciated even though it may feel that way right now. There are many things about which you can take issue with kids these days. But, in my experience, they are far more aware of and caring about a handful of important issues and one of them is most certainly the environment. That is a legacy that you and your colleagues helped to create and that the current administration cannot change. It's far more likely, IMO, that it will be a part of their undoing. My oldest nephew is about to be 15 and he's young for his grade. A lot of his friends will be voting in the next election and I know for a fact that the environment is an issue that they will consider very seriously when exercising their right to vote for the first time.

Wouldn't it be ironic if we haven't heard from him because his part of Florida never recovered from a "once in a century" storm?

Can we get an Administrator of the EPA that is capable of cleaning up the garbage that is Scott Pruitt? He's terrible for multiple environments.
