"ROYBEEVENMUCHMORESENIORPARTOFTHEFOURROOMATESMEANERYUPPATTOO" what the edited does this mean? This game will take senior leadership and a certain degree of mental toughness, nay, meanness in order to prevail over the Cincinatti Bearcats, and the most likely candidate for providing both of these desirable qualities is Roy Hibbert, senior from Adelphi, MD.

"Meanery."
I like it!
I don't care if lic meant to write "meaner yup" and not "meanery up." As far as I'm concerned, his posts are abstract poetry and I can interpret them any way I want.
Go Hoyas! GO MEANERY!!!

Also, Pat Ewing is another senior with the necessary meanery to get the job done on Saturday.

Bearcats are typically physical--and have a wonderful player in Deonta Vaughn--he reminds me a lot of Rumeal Robinson who played at Patrick Ewing's HS--Cambridge R&L--and he is a streaky shooter. When he's on a hot streak--it feeds to rest of team. They are a physical group--crash the boards and play good defense. In the games I've seen Biggie McClain play-he shows promise--a bit raw on offense--but good defensive player. Against Roy-that doesn't bother me--because one of Roy's biggest strengths is being able to not only play well-but flourish against guys his size. (which is one of the reasons he'll be a better NBA player then many think)
Bearcats foul a lot--and if Hoyas are aggressive they should get to FT line a lot. Will be like any Big East game-tough and rugged but if you want to win the conference, this is type of game and scenario (home game) you have to win.

it's not "meanery" it's "meaner yup pat too"...you guys need to brush up on your licese skills... The Berlitz courses in all the major cities are always full, and the learn-at home tapes narrated by Professor Irwin Corey just don't seem to do the trick.

Yes Hoyas, bring the MEANERY and stick it to the Baehr-cats.
Great addition to the HoyaTalk lexicon.

I hope our guys are more worked up for this game than the board is. We have to win this one. Here's hoping we use this game to get the offense clicking before moving on to SJU and a big road game at Marquette!

I hope our guys are more worked up for this game than the board is. We have to win this one. It's this damn schedule Coach, first there's not even 48 hours of downtime between road games and then we're left to chill for five days!?! Sorry, I'll quit making excuses. Gonna stand at my computer and put in 10,000 posts tonight so I can have my gameface on tomorrow. GRRRR. MEANERY UP!!!!!!

I'm all for tuning up for Marquette, but given that last time we played the RedWomen it was one of the 5 most lopsided games in the history of the conference, I don't think we'll really need our offense "clicking" for that one. Having our offense "present" should be enough. I think we'd be better served using these two games to learn a real zone offense. (Hint - Summers/Freeman in the soft spot, Roy in the short corner)

Bearcats are a tough team--and it'll be a game if Hoyas don't get better at protecting the ball. Cincy does have lapses where they dont' score though--and with Hoyas defense and Bearcats approach-if GU can hit some shots/run their offense they should be able to win the game rather handily. If they play passive, this will be a low scoring, ugly game down to the wire. If they play as they have the last 60 minutes on offense--they'll be just fine. Deonta Vaughn is outstanding--and Bearcats fight/scrape for everything--but this is a game you should win if you plan on competing for championships.
