With two LA seniors next year, I have to imagine that JT3 will give them a game out here. LMU seems the obvious choice, since its just blocks from their alma mater, Westchester High.
Lets start the email campaign to make sure we see the Hoyas in LA next year. Anyone know JT3's address?
Also, I'll be at Sharkeez in Hermosa at 9 for the ND game, if anyone cares to join. Remember, free mimosas with any breakfast order!!!!
And to all my fellow Hoyas digging their cars out of the snow back east....its 70 degrees and sunny at the beach. ha ha

i, for one, would like to see a rematch of the home and away with UCLA - the loss on our home court two years ago left a bad taste in my mouth. we lost by a point if i remember correctly - to a UCLA team that was struggling at the time.

Never said it was really close, but its a game in California for the guys. I remember that being mentioned when the game was scheduled.
Maybe we should have a game at Westchester High.

haha Westchester might win that game...
Damn, I'd love to make it out to Hermosa for the game. Seeing that I'm in south OC, and the game is at 9 am PST, it might be difficult.
Anyone wanna hit up ESPNZone in Anaheim???

I knwo these SJSU partially because it was available and partially for the West Coast. But if there is an LA game, I'd think we could organize a pretty good road trip from the North for that as well.

I love it. As if any of the California guys could point out more than a dozen states on a US map.

Did I catch an "OC" reference in here? I love that show.
In other words, I would definitely look to make the trip to LA next year...

Any Socal Hoyas want to meet up for St Johns, preferably in Orange County? I was thinking Draft Choice Sports Grill in Laguna Niguel.

We have played at LB State before, and at Irvine, so those may be possibilities. USC more likely than UCLA for the reasons indicated by tgo, and also because Floyd will want to schedule high-profile non-conference games if possible. I think USC would make sense for the Hoyas too. If I am not mistaken, USC's new OC arena opens next year, so playing there would make a big splash with LA recruits. Wherever it is, I'm going.

Or they could play UNLV again, renewing JTII's rivalry. Not too far from LA. ;D Closer to LA than San Jose.

One west coast game per year... is that so much to ask?
Recent west coast games (mid-90s on) UCLA series UNLV series CAL in the NIT Irvine in the mid 90s Pacific (Kandi-man beat on us) - was that in Stockton?
Others?

It was right after Christmas, perhaps on the 27th or 28th. Going back further, I recall playing at LB State in 1986 or 1987 when they had Morlon Wiley and current Pistons front office guy Tony Ronzoni (played at Concord de la Salle I believe). We also played a year or two in the USC/Winston Tire Holiday tournament at the LA Sports Arena in the mid 1980s. I remember one game where Alabama killed us (perhaps Ewing's Soph year)? Don't forget the Sweet 16s at the Pond (Maryland game). I can't recall others, but I'm sure DFW can fill in the blanks.
