Wallace, Sapp, Summers, Ewing, Hibbert.
It doesn't seem like much but I think the Dajuan experiment at the 4 is never going to work as well as this lineup.
Plus the decision was made when Austin was shooting 135%, Pat had started slowly, and Macklin was a liability going 1-for-1 with Roy. I think those conditions have gone away. Austin's fine but not so good we need to trade his presence for the height advantage we'd get out of the blocks. Also, I think Dajuan breaks out of his slump when suddenly everyone defending him is shorter and he can face them up.
It's not too late to tinker with the lineup. I don't think that entails benching Wallace and possibly destroying his already sagging confidence. I do think this team could use a change of pace. Maybe start with playing to our size advantage now that our guys have learned how to rebound.

I was always in favor of keeping Ewing in the starting lineup. But what's done is done. Ewing will continue to come off the bench.

I thought this was going to be the roy, jon, jessie, dajuan, JEFF line up because we all want that back Me too! Ewing is better off the bench and we need him there. And the starting line-up and normal sub patterns got us a nice lead at UL at the half. The second half was more about UL greatly increasing the intensity and GU not responding than it was about personnel match-ups. But I do think more SIZE would be good. Maybe more of Vern and Roy and DaJuan (sub in Ewing as needed). Freeman was one of our few reliable scorers yesterday. Back to Jeff for a minute... I think we all know the offense always ran better when Jeff was on the floor -- whether at the 4 or the 5. Last year's team WITH Jeff still needed several miracle finishes at the BET (ND) and NCAAs (Vandy, UNC) to advance as far as they did. Expectations for this year's team based on '07 results are pointless.

I think Ewing should start along side his dad.

I like the potential of the Roy and Vernon pair in the game at the same time, with a huge size advantage in our forwards. But (if my memory is correct) the few times this has happened this year, nothing really electric happened and JTIII took one of the two out relatively quickly

there was a point in a game recently (i cant remember which) where roy and vern played togeather. it went pretty smooth if i remember right. as vern becomes more comfortable on the floor this could become a killer line-up against smaller teams that like to try to penetrate
