Jeff Green should be in this conversation, since he really has and was called upon to utilize a combo forward skill set.

I think it's Othella Harrington. Obviously I'm joking, but he would have had some higher numbers if he hadn't had to play center all his career.

There is no "after Reggie Williams." He is the all time Hoya small forward. Reggie and the Miracles - 1987. I still have the hat. For combo players(either guard, power or small forward), Reggie v. Jeff would be a close call, but Reggie owned the small forward position.

Jeff was 4/5 while he was here -- regardless of skill set. He never played a minute of small forward and played most of his career at PF.
Wingate may be next best. We haven't really had a lot of stars there. Riley, Bowman, Aw, etc.

Robert Churchwell has got to be mentioned somewhere in this thread if Bowman and Riley are.

Wingate is probably the best choice after Reggie. Interesting that they were HS teammates! NJCoach made a good call with Eric Smith. Also Steve Martin and Bill Martin Gerald Riley and Robert Churchwell too. But the other really outstanding one who comes to mind for me is Mike Laughna. He was a sophomore on the team that barely lost to Pistol Pete Maravich in the NIT, and was the last remaining really excellent player from the pre-Thompson teams. He had to suffer through the 3-23 disaster year -- no fault of his. DFW's History section has a nice write-up on him. www.hoyabasketball.com/features/top100/m_laughna.htmMike averaged 16.0 pts and 10.8 Boards for his career. Shot 48.7% from the floor. He graduated in 1972 as the Hoya career leader in Points and Rebounds His 1,234 career points were the most ever as were his 833 Rebounds -- before Freshman were allowed to play and before Pops started bringing in future NBA stars! If anyone were to rival Wingate as the best small forward after Reggie, it would probably be Mike Laughna.

By the way, based on our starting lineup in 94/95, Jerome Williams should qualify and be in the conversation.

Dear 2011,
Austin won't be playing SF. You have to have me on the court. So push DaJuan back to SF.
Love, Greg Monroe
P.S. Austin will be our 2nd best SG ever (after AI).
