since anything that is not in print is considered speculation and hence verboten, no.
but according to a medical book at the library, if one has a sprained ankle one would likely not play basketball for a while and would rest, perhaps sitting on a bench watching basketball while wearing an aircast. also, it is likely that one could recover from a sprained ankle in a few days or weeks and that one could play basketball again in the near future instead of having to watch while wearing an aircast.

Coach Thompson said after the game that he went to bed last night thinking Summers would play, but the medical staff informed him today that it would be "unwise" for Summers to suit up.

See the end of Barker Davis' article in the WashTimes:
Coach John Thompson III admitted Summers could have played but said the staff decided to take a conservative approach in the hope Summers would be 100 percent for Saturday's home game against Seton Hall.

That's what he said about Chris Wright. Things didn't turn out too great the next time he checked though.

As someone who had Marvin Harrison in a fantasy league this year, I won't be convinced that DaJuan can play until I see him play. In case any other Harrison fantasy owners need a reminder, here's a quote we heard from the Colts coach in Week 9 before they played New England: "If this was an actual playoff game, instead of merely hyped as a postseason game, Dungy said Harrison probably would play." www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/2007-11-02-injury-roundup_N.htmFor those who don't know, Harrison didn't play effectively all season, including the playoffs. Anyway, I'm know it's not nearly the same injury and that DaJuan is about half as old as Marvin Harrison, I'm merely explaining that I'm a little gun-shy on the whole "he probably could have played, but we're just being cautious" angle. I'm sorry for the rant, I just still haven't gotten over the tragedy that was Marvin Harrison's 2007 season.

Passed dajuan on my way to class, he's still wearing his small boot, not a big one, which is good that it doesn't seem as serious and because he's following the trainers advice. Get healthy dajuan, don't rush back.

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing DaJuan take the weekend off. Get healthy -- even if we lose one of these I'd prefer it to a loss later if he comes back too quick.
