They'll go to 4-1. Good chance to move ahead of them in the standings with a win.

Notre Dame is 4-1, but look at their remaining Big East schedule:
at Georgetown at Villanova UConn at home at Syracuse BC at home at Pitt Georgetown at home at Providence at UConn Rutgers at home Pitt at home
With that schedule, the Irish will have a hard time getting to 10-6 or better. This is a huge game for Georgetown to stake a claim as #4 (with a bullet) behind Syracuse, BC, and UConn.

I think this game will definitely be a hard fought one. GU and ND are in a similar situation in that both teams lack depth. The Irish can only go 7 deep and we have only been giving significant minutes to Owens, Reed, and Ross off the bench this season.
As a result, any foul trouble could spell disaster for either side, as it hampered the Hoyas a bit last game. If we can draw a couple early fouls on Francis inside, it would put a lot of pressure on the other Irish big men to rebound and score - something they aren't accustomed to.
While we like to slow it down offensively, ND will take the first marginally-open 3 that they see. Their 3 guard sets will test our back court, and we will need Owens and Reed to play plenty of minutes to shut down their shooters. I think we will have an advantage on the boards if we are as aggressive as we were in the second half of the Rutgers game. I would also like to see Bowman use his height against Notre Dame's 3 and post up when the opportunity presents itself.
Look for my high school teammate, #24 Chris Murphy, at the end of Notre Dame's bench. He walked onto the Irish team this year as a junior. If he gets into the game, it is either going really well or really poorly for the Hoyas.
Go Hoyas.

I don't know - Notre Dame is one of those teams that is more talented than us in my opinion - I mean they have a great first 5 - with Thomas, Francis and Cornette and an improved Quinn, along with this Falls guy...they could be very, very good if Thomas is on fire --> i hope that we can contain them and get the win - we really need this if we are going to entertain ANY NCAA tournament aspirations because we gotta work on bettering our RPI...

Think this Falls guy is a brother to A. Falls? haha, the mysterious A. Falls. Weren't they still using that in a box score recently? Unbelievable that it would take them so long to catch on.
