I don't mind that. It just looked like exuberance to me. I'd definitely take him on my team.

What I minded was one of the announcers who when one of the cuse players, I believe it was Harris, beat his chest said something like "That's right big fella, beat that chest!".
My opinion of the action is not good to begin with. I believe it focuses on the individuality of one player too much and is disrespectful to that player's team. Even putting that aside, I do not think an announcer should be able to point out the behavior of one player and encourage it.

Thought this thread would be relevant again after today's game. Granted it wasn't at Verizon, but Marquette sure was celebrating throughout the second half.
Every time they did that jump-bump, flexed/screamed after a dunk or and-one, or otherwise made a scene after a routine play, my mind was drawn to the sage words of bubb at the start of this thread.

I also noticed their little Solid Gold dance party after the timeout when they took a nine point lead. Teams really ought to achieve before they celebrate.
