Wait a second, there was GTown basketball prior to the early 1970s?
Seriously, if he didn't lead the impeachment of President Clinton and get his big fat mug (and body) all over national TV, would we ever discuss Henry Hyde as a candidate for a Mount Rushmore?
My candidates are:
Patrick Ewing Reggie Williams Alonzo Mourning Allen Iverson
There are many other great candidates, but there's only so much space up there on the mountain.

I cannot imagine a Mt. Rushmore without Eric Floyd. I just can't do it. I realize that many posters are too young to have seen Sleepy play, but the guy would dunk on you, possessed an excellent handle, played D, and shot lights out. He scored 2300 pts and ranks as the Hoyas' alltime leading scorer, accomplishing these feats w/o the benefit of a 3 pt shot. Floyd was truly an outstanding, entertaining college player! And SirSaxa is correct. Duren and Shelton were exciting, clutch performers for Georgetown.

We may have wait on this project. The University isn't starting any new construction until 2020.

I'm thinking the ideal place to carve this great work would be the wall next to the Exorcist stairs.

Kenney Brunner, Ed Sheffey, Willie Taylor, Shernard Long.
That's the definitive list. There can be no debate. Unless....
the_way, Matt Causey, Esh's brother, Kim Frank.

How can anyone leave out Nat Burton out of this? He provided one of the most memorable hoyas moments since the '84 championship for us! In any pantheon-ic discussion of Georgetown hoops, he has to be in the top 5. For christ sakes, we have to put him up there just for the sole reason he didnt allow braswell to launch up a ridiculous three in that situation.
NAT BURTON.

We were gonna put him in, but no one could figure out what first name to call him by. So we said forget it.
