Oh Lord, here we go. Was that last sentence necessary? Criticism is fine, that's just rumor-mongering (without basis, I might add). ok, i removed the last sentence. i do believe it has merit What has tyler ever shown on the court that Rivers doesn't bring as well. TC may be a valuable practice/bench/locker room presence, but if he really had anything to contribute on the court, don't you think he'd already have seen more playing time.

My complaint is Tyler has not received the same opportunities that rivers has gotten from day 1. It seems that most believe rivers is the best perimeter defender yet our perimeter D is still suspect when rivers is in the game. Additionally, teams have gone on game changing/determining runs with rivers on the floor. I would like to see if Tyler can do any better as in some situations, i do not believe anyone on the team could do worse

I agree. I'd like to see Tyler get more run, especially while CW is out. He has a decent shot and is strong defensively.

i love tyler 's heart and defensive intesity, but he can't dribble to save his life. rivers has a pretty good handle in addition to being a defensive presence

IMO, he has the best handle on the team. He deserves his minutes, especially with Chris out.

Sixer: Not sure if you could see in the arena but they showed on TV several times where Wallace was absolutely punished physically by Pitt players. One was at the very beginning of the game where he took it in the face/jaw and another was running into a screen and he stayed down a couple seconds. It's possible he was in a lot of pain when on the bench.
I think Wallace's problems 3-point shooting come when he tries to make shots outside his comfort zone. He is best when he can set himself well (probably well over 60% in that situation) and not nearly as good when he is shooting off the dribble. He has to understand that and choose his shots a little more carefully. There's probably some pressure on him to "score more" but the reason he was so effective last year and at times this year is that he didn't force things.

YESSSSSSSSS, exactly on point, and just think he's not the only one who needs to choose good shot selections. lol...thought it was snowing in the PITT, raining 3's, hailing, too many, at the wrong time. Damn, you have a basketball scholarship, you should know the fundamentals of the game, its just automatic, you run your offense, but you add more with your heart, mind and soul...penetrate and dish, get inside where you should know where our strengths are, then we can work our way out, just like you said man, pick and choose good shots.

Wallace's grasp of basketball fundamentals is just fine. i agree 100%, but he still seems to have less confidence compared to last season. thats just me looking from the outside. i could be 100% wrong
