Totally different - Perry was out all year due to some clearinghouse BS. Wright has played and will be back at some point. Not "totally different." AP had little nagging injuries his entire time on The Hilltop. I wasn't referring to him missing his freshman year because of the clearinghouse situation, but his inability to get and stay healthy for what seemed like an entire season.

Ah see, there is my verification. Word on campus is that this isn't much of a secret to anyone who personally knows Chris or the rest of the team for that matter. Sounds like the AD is just spreading their media propoganda yet again. All joking aside, I hope he can prove the doctors wrong, he is definitely going to be missed. What 'media propaganda' are you talking about? Here is the entire athletic department release: If you are talking about some betting-oriented website that said Wright was 'probable' last night before the game, that has zero to do with the AD and it is unfair to suggest so.

I was mostly joking. I mean, it all seems a little cryptic, but obviously I don't think they really spread propaganda. Hence me saying "all joking aside."

When you say 'all joking aside' but don't make a joke, its hard for the reader to know what you are referring to. Hence, Dan's post.

I guess I shouldn't have assumed that my sarcasm would be detected. Either way, I'm not sure what they have to lose by announcing what it seems everyone knows now, that he's not coming back for a while.

Good golly.
I hope he didn't injure his growth plates. I hate for him to be seven feet tall on the left and only 6-1 on the right.

This has bad news all over it. (he typed, shuddering as images of Anthony Perry rushed through his head...) Wright has cojones. Perry lost them somewhere between high school and college. ;D

I know most of you won't listen to me because I'm a lurker and not a regular poster, but I've heard Chris's injury is a lot more serious than a rolled ankle, and I'm worried he won't be returning to the lineup anytime soon. Sorry to be so pessimistic about it. If this is the case though, I think we should still be able to overcome the loss of a freshman guard, even one as talented as Chris...I mean we have four other pretty good ones. Say hola to Imodium.
