That would be interesting for a number of reasons--Marist would likely be a home game, Howard on the road. It's becoming a challenging schedule for a Georgetown team that absolutely needs to start showing results, as well as a need for a program that hasn't had a signature non-conference win since Cornell in 2003.
That Cornell game was probably the high point of the decade. Georgetown didn't just get by Cornell by a field goal, it beat them soundly, 42-20, and with its first win over an Ivy school, the Hoyas had won three straight. There was lots of optimism coming out of Schoellkopf Field that day, but faster than you could say "Alondzo Turner", it's been a rough road since.

A game with Howard has always seemed like a natural. Hopefully this could become a regular event...it might even be covered by the Washington Post.

These are the appropriate teams to play at this point. I hope we start the season with a team we are matched up with in order to build up a little confidence.
