Al-Farouq Aminu, who signed with Wake. 6'8 SF is a top 15 player in the class.

Aminu is a BEAST as well, this should be VERY fun to watch. I actually think Aminu might be the better freshmen next year with Monroe having the more long term potential.

I trust the experts who rank hs players, but i must say that thus far i am not impressed. Maybe he just nervous.

I'm not impressed with Monroe right now either. Not to be the #1 player in the nation. The kid for Norcross looks good

Missed dunk, two missed point blank layups but very unselfish and passing decently.

I guess when they compare him to Dwight Howard that's what they are talking about

yes, the dunk was insane, but he has also missed several layups, is getting killed on the defensive end by aminu, and he's not doing much on the boards. Hopefully he can pick it up in the second half.

he's still in high school guys, let's not start judging him already. You can see he has enormous talent and potential, and even if he isn't being as aggressive as you want him to be or whatever I trust that JT III will do wonders with talent like this.

agreed GUHoya it is too early to judge him after just one game. other than highlight videos this is the first i have seen him play........he definitely shows very good upside.....some good moves and blocks but his defense needs to be better (move those feet!) and definitely needs to be much more assertive (does this sound like criticisms of jeff green? i guess he turned out ok didn't he) i think its tough to tell too much from this one game other than that.....his teammates aren't exactly helping him out too much
