Over on the 'Cuse board they're saying that the Joshua Tree on the East Side will be covering the game and they gave a number to call for confirmation- (212) 689-0058. I'm gonna call right now to see how legit it is.

Perhaps we should inform the 'cuse board that the game will be showing at Rivers, 984 West 24th St . . . a bit of a long walk, but all you can drink, no cover.
(Real NYers should get this)

Two things: A) How could this game be showing on satellite in dc but we cant get it in NYC. No Offense, I love DC, but NYC is "the city" so we should be able to get whatever feed they are. B) What happened to that bar with the WNTR or whatever it was, do we know anymore. Im willing to take a longshot here people, I just dont understand where we are at at this point.

And in NY it will be on at Mercury Bar, 493 3rd Ave, near 33rd St, I spoke with the manager and she was sure she could get the game.

as per my other post, I am hopeful that this can happen, yet skeptical about mercury bar because its owned by the same people who own joshua tree which cant show the game.

i would like to believe mercury bar's manager drummer, but in my experience it is far more likely that she is mistaken than it is likely that only this bar in NYC is showing it-including ESPN Zone. She probably thinks (correctly) that a game many people call about MUST be on to a bar with satelite, etc.
By the way people, calling ESPN ZOne and asking for the game and making them get annoyed is IMO more effective than contacting the cable comapany. ESPN is part of Disney- they are an 800 pound gorrila and those flagship restaurants are important to the whole image. Just a thought, I think the cable comapnies make a career out of blowing off a few dozen disgruntled normal customers.
