Who's going to coach them?
Lock and move this if it's too far removed from Big East basketball since technically he is now in the Big Ten.

Maybe they should wait until he forwards the calls to his Michigan number. I think whoever takes over the program is going to have some difficulty - the players currently there were recruited to play in a very different system than most anything being run in college basketball currently - unless they hire internally they'll really be starting over.

Yeah I feel bad for the kids,I mean they really trusted this coach were he had been there for five years now. They also said on the news that he even told his team after they won the nit that he will be coaching next year in Morgantown. So what does that tell ya?? It tells me that he does'nt really care for the players BUT he loves the money he will be getting.

Watch out for the goon Bob Huggins to try and return to the school he attended--I hesitate to say graduated from because with Huggins--that can NEVER be assumed.

Did he have any direct connection to WVU?
Still another contract that III's can be judged against.

great job by Michigan (although if I were them I would've gone hard after Chris Lowery)
Beilein will do his thing...
along with his system, he showed that he can recruit some talent (not just hard working, overachieving system players) of late with Butler and Nichols..
the Big East just got a little weaker, oh well

Also, Lickliter (Butler) to Iowa and Altman (Creighton) to Arkansas. The latter is pretty surprising to me.
I believe that leaves UK and WVU as the only major CBB programs with a head coaching vacancy.

I was kind of worried about JTIII being wooed by Michigan. Say what you want about their arena and the difficulties of recruiting against Michigan State (which, by the way, shouldn't be as big of a handicap as some make it out to be), but they are a program that could have shelled out big money to JTIII.
Even if he didn't want to go there, it would have given JTIII great leverage (as if he didn't already have enough) and might have cost us more money. I was glad to see Grabby grab this job.

what if, Donavan leaves for Kentucky ($3+ m/year) as most think he will. How attractive and tempting will the Florida job be. Lets hurry and make things right for the coach.

Good hire for Michigan. Can't be good news for WVU. Maybe Michigan visits WVU next season, so Beilein knew he was speaking the truth to his kids.

This is phenomenal news.
I hate it when pompous West Virginia fans flood into DC every year or so. They are loud, obnoxious, often hateful, and in general annoying. I have no idea how they travel so well even on weeknights. And they somehow got into the lower bowls in large numbers.
I've been praying for Beilen to leave so that their team will sink back into oblivion and we can go back to not seeing West Virginia fans at Verizon.

Supposedly they are meeting with Bobby Huggins. Imagine that! B-Easy could end up in the Big East next year if KSU let him out.
Of course, nothing finalized with Huggins and WVU, just rumors and chatter for now.
