NBC says he is resting and had spleen removed and blood transfusion - his condition doesn't seem as bad as it was earlier.

yeah, a Clemson TE had the same thing happen last year in the Miami game - fell on the ball or on his elbow...
trainers got him to the hospital before the game was over - otherwise he could've bled to death in postgame traffic

At the very first Georgetown game against Holy Cross thisseason, Slot receiver Brent Tomlinson #92 lacerated his spleen late in the 4th quarter and spent 6 days in Intensive Care. Is lost for the season This is a very serious injury.

I don't expect Simms to return this year, but it sounds as though he is now doing ok, which is, of course, the most important thing.
