Bryant is needed as a beach cop anyway. This is for the best.
In all seriousness, it'd be pretty petty of Tags to get involved. Gumbel should be allowed to editorialize to his heart's content.

You knew this was coming--especially the way NFL has treated ESPN since Playmakers--in fact I think the NFL will have MNF on the NFL Network within 2/3 years and totally abolish ESPN from any game coverage--all due to their arrogance and stupidity of trying to be more then a network that shows/covers games.
And serves them right. I hate ESPN with a passion and I taped today's Yankees-Sox game from Extra Innings so I could get NESN announcers instead of anyone from ESPN. Wish I could do the same for tonight's MNF game, but I have all of the confidence that Tirico, Korheiser, and Theisman will have ratings low enough that league moves forward and abolishes these jerkoffs from being associated with the league.

I think this should just be handled the old fashioned way.
Let Gene Upshaw beat the living crap out of Bryant Gumbel and then everyone can shake hands and be done with it.
