I am serious about making a trip to Cuse on tuesday (skipping my only day of class in the process), anyone with transportation making the trip from D.C. I really really want to go and if I had a car it would be a no brainer. Tix are still available on their site.

Aight, I think I am gonna be able to go. Does anyone know how long it ACTUALLY takes to get from DC to Cuse? Mapquest says 6:30 or so but I want to make sure.

I would think so, although I've been known to be incorrect.

I live in Syracuse and make it back/forth to that area in good weather in 6 hours easy. There will be light snow here tomorrow, so I'd give 6.5 hrs to be safe. There is so much trash talking on the radio here about how the rivalry is no more, I can't wait to see the new look Hoyas tomorrow.

I once drove from DC to Cornell in under six hours, but that was with warm weather and open roads on the Pennsylvania Turnpike extension.
Leave at 11:00 am to be safe and you should have time to get there and have dinner before a 7:00 tip-off.

You know how you know it's a rivalry? When the side that claims it isn't one talks on and on and on about how it isn't. I mean c'mon, have you ever seen a group of numbskulls this preoccupied over a non-rivalry?

Leave at 11:00 am to be safe and you should have time to get there and have dinner before a 7:00 tip-off. The key is the PA TPK extension. If that thing is clear, you should be in good shape. If you can make it to Cornell in under 6, no problem with Syracuse because Cornell is only accessible by a ridiculous country road, while the Dome etc. is visible from what amounts to a highway.

Dang, it would appear that my ride has fallen through due to a class starting later than he thought. I was getting really excited too.
For all those going, cheer extra loud

Is the Penn Turnpike still a pit. The last time I drove I questioned their fee structure, because the road was so bad. What are they collecting fees for - to fund their toll collectors? Almost was in a head on collision going from Cornell to DC once. I wasn't driving, so I was totally out of control. I don't know if they still have those three lane roads with the passing lane (for either side) in the middle.

CA, I love your enthusiasm, love you energy, and understand the expression, but man, you just ain't doin' it right. HA HA HA. Well, maybe you just ain't doin it right when you come to games at MCI, now? After screaming my lungs out amdist a good atmosphere at a game, I come back exhausted but fairly satisfied, so in my mind I likened to sex, put that in my signature and see what people would say. I don't know if I'll keep it for much longer, but it's kinda funny what people have said so far. Being in the front row of the student section for games is such an adrenaline rush that I haven't experienced until this year, it's great. I know we can't expect the entire student section to be like us, but at least we can get it as close as possible.

I guess, but where's the inevitable regret and self-loathing, c'mon I know that's not just me... right?...
Anyway, while I haven't been fortunate enough to make it back to DC since Sept (there may be a mandatory wait period involved before I am allowed to return), I will be involved in a game watch for the ND game this Saturday, looking forward to seeing Green & Co. live on TV for the first time.
