All you need to know about the "changing culture" and how great Billy King is--here's the "big move" he's working on. Samuel Dalembert goes to Dallas for Erik Dampier--who in a typical King move, makes MORE money then Dalembert and is signed for same amount of years. UNREAL--the stupidity continues and I just wish Iverson had it in him to see what a Championship Team is consisted of--because it certainly isn't the GARBAGE that King has surrounded him with and continues to surround him with. Shav Randolph, Dampier, and Rodney Carney couldn't win you games in 8th grade, let alone the NBA. AWFUL, simply awful.

Man, I was really hoping they got him out of there. As much as the Hawks have been a really week franchise for the past decade or so, it's going to be tough to keep them down in the future. Marvin Williams has been killing the summer league and Josh Smith is for real. Shelden will be a solid pro, and Joe Johnson and AI would be a sick backcourt. Would really liked AI there. Celtics wouldn't have been bad either. Didn't want to see him end up playing with 'Melo though.
Philly, I mean... for starters Iggy and Carney are pretty similar players. Dalembert is alright but I just dont think CWebb is the answer at 4. Maybe 5 or 6 years ago. It's tough to find the ideal backcourt mate for Iverson. I kind of think somebody like Bruce Bowen would be ideal... strong defender, hits the outside shot when it's there, and otherwise generally defers offensively. Too bad players like that seem to be in short supply.
Dally for Damp would be really dumb for the Sixers. Dalembert is pretty much a younger and much more athletic version of the same type of player.

Don't try to suck up to me, Bill Simmons' most recent intern, or that other Hawks fan...I think his hame is Steve or something. We're enjoying the significant extra legroom on the bandwagon, thank you very much. I read those Marvin Williams articles too and was very excited. Of course, like the next article I read was about USA Basketball and I remembered that's what Chris Paul's doing this summer. ;D
