Celts would do best to try and offer Wally--to another team, whomever that 3rd team is should give a player Philly wants, Rondo--King loves him and needs a PG, and Jefferson--Green stays as it makes no sense to have him come in and play with Iguodala and Carney--and if they all do play and King goes to a "Phoenix East" style of ball trading Iverson is the most RETARDED thing ever--Iverson would flourish in that style as he did under O'Brien who let him go uptempo and King's dumb BLEEP fired because O'Brien told him to avoid giving Korver and Dalembert huge contracts.
All I have to say is I don't care WHERE he goes--as long as Iverson leaves the Sixers--I despise the way Billy King operates and his lack of accountability or vision on how to build a team around someone who provided the Sixers a Finals Appearance with great cast around him that Brown/King took apart quickly for the likes of Derrick Coleman, Matt Harpring, and Greg Buckner.
I realize that young talent is great and "Future" is important and that's why I think Boston should do all it can to keep Gerald Green--you can replace someone like Al Jefferson a lot easier then you can a potential stud SF, but that's just my take. I really think Rondo would get you Iverson and you can keep West--but I also believe Celtics have an idea of what they are going to do and one thing they can't do is assume the future is guaranteed. What if those guys never amount to jack and it costs you Pierce who gets tired of waiting for the "future to become the present" and leaves?? Then you are rebuilding for 10 straight years.
Eastern Conference is open and anyone who doesn't think it is, needs to watch more--there is not a dominant team and a combo of Pierce and Iverson is enough to get you in top 4 seeds and make you a dangerous contender. Everyone talks about who Iverson could "not" play with--well those guys didn't fit his game--people like Robinson, Kukoc, Webber have no athleticism whatsoever and are passive players--Pierce is aggressive and established--he'd have less of a problem. Main thing is to not give up BOTH Jefferson and Green and between the two I'd keep Green if you are going to have Iverson on a team. AI can get average/marginal bigs easy hoops--unless they miss dunks like Dalembert often does and Ty Hill used to, but he gets you easy shots--he just can't make them for you--which is why I laugh at how his year of 33.7 pts and 7.4 assists a game is ignored--to do that with that GARBAGE on the roster is amazing--yes Korver can shoot, but nobody else on that team is worth 2 cents in terms of a consistent jumpshot--John Salmons, Kevin Ollie, Shavlik Randolph, and Matt Barnes--let's see Steve Nash collect the numbers Iverson did with that mess.
I'd settle for Iverson playing in the WNBA, FIBA, or AND1 Mix Tour as long as he's out of Philly. If Billy King prevents this, I wish him nothing but misery/pain that he's caused this and other Sixer fans for years.
