Yeah, the guy played inspired basketball! He deserved to be interviewed much more than that washed up hack Gary Payton!

So um....will Shaq and Payton finally retire now?? I hope the Heat have to apply for a quasi-expansion draft.
Friggin' Mavs letting me down.

'Zo EARNED his ring last nite...saved his best game for when it mattered most...He hosted an absoulte BLOCK PARTY in dallas last nite. Unbelievable nite here in south florida. Took 18 years, and a whole lot of dissapointments, but D.Wade has brought it home for Riles, Zo, GP, Shaq, and the rest of the team. The season had its up and downs, and no one ever really thought the team could make it all the way, but here we are. Time for a much promised parade on Friday.
Its obviously too early to start talking bout next season, but if Zo, Payton, and Riley were to decide it was time to hang up the boots, I would totally respect them for that. They earned that right. Yet, Shaq promised a repeat last nite, and I would love to see those guys be around for the fight.

I am thrilled to have been all wet in my results prediction. Hooray for Zo, Flash, Riles and the Big Windbag. Plus Haslem came up huge last night.

Congrats to Zo, Gary Payton, Haslem, and Antoine Walker.
Congrats to Dwyane "Seriously, I'm really, really, really injured" Wade.
Forget the rest of those lowlife bums, especially Shaquille O'neal and Pat Riley.

I liked him OK at the Magic but I couldn't stand the way he left and shafted the Magic. They didn't get so much as a second round draft pick for him. I couldn't stand the Lakers with Kobe ... Finally though, since he is with my pro team I think he's OK. I just wonder whether it was "him" that I didn't like or just the surroundings? I have heard him interviewed a bunch of times and he's not some cocky jackass. He is amazingly personable and very likable. What's your beef?

They were rivals for a long time. 3). He did the Lakers wrong. He caused the break-up. He demanded the trade, he wouldn't take a paycut (which he did for Miami so they could sign players), he clowned the Laker owner, he clowned Kobe (who helped him win those 3 titles). Everything he is doing in Miami now (staying in shape, getting along with the star player, letting the other star do his thing), he refused to do in LA.Had AI or Kobe done exactly what he did, they would have been villified in the press. Shoot, Kobe has been already villified. Shaq gets a pass. He don't get none from me.

So most of the reason you don't like him relates to the Lakers and interaction between him and other Lakers. So I take it you are a Laker fan? If so, then that would make perfect sense. My main gripe with him originally was the way he parted company with the Magic, who are my second favorite Pro team. Sounds like you have similar criticisms but involving the Lakers not the Magic.
