That he allowed this? bengals.com/community/palmer_cornhole06.aspI have since been informed that the Southern OH and Northern KY (no pun intended) name for "bean bag toss" is in fact cornhole. But I am still really disturbed. I wonder if Steeler fans will have any fun with this.

Obviously you've never played a game of Cornhole. Arguably the best tailgate game ever. It's pretty big in the midwest, and originated out of the west side of Cincinnati. I'd have to imagine it's played at many Steelers tailgates as well.
By the way, it's not a bean bag game. If there were beans in the bags, then it would be called beanhole.

But I try not to use the words "play" and "cornhole" in the same sentence. Trust me, beanhole sounds better. I'd have to imagine taking only beer and a grill to a tailgate. Maybe a football and a TV. Having lived in Pittsburgh for almost 6 years, I can tell you I never heard the word "cornhole" uttered in any other context but the obvious.

Why not just play a similar game with a normal name? www.washers.org/

Didn't you and Reed used to play that with Eddy all the time? Oh, but that was without those boards and the bags...

I actually played this game while tailgating for a U of Wisconsin football game I went to a couple years back. Have to admit, it IS the perfect activity for boozin' and eatin' before "the big game." But I'm pretty certain it wasn't called cornhole or beanhole or gloryhole or browneye or anything like that...

Well, gotta say, I too found this a bit odd... However, thanks to the wonders of google, I discovered that if you have lots of free time, or an office with a door you can shut, you can do some virtual cornholing... www.addictinggames.com/cornhole.htmlI recommend hitting mute, the soundtrack is pretty dire...

I'd seen people playing this at tailgates before at Clemson baseball or football games (don't remember which - the grass lot behind the baseball field is used for both) but just figured it was a beanbag toss. It was custom made sets too.

Well, what have I learned from this? I am really bad at online cornhole games. I've let the Eastside down!
