Ok, who's crazier? On the one hand, we all saw the Crispin on Letterman tape. Insane. www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2644822?htv=12On the other, Daulton. Anyone else see him on Real Sports? Yikes. Apparently we're all going to be talking to lizards soon. And we'll be able to use our own mind power to beam up to other dimensions. And whether we know it or not, all of our spirits are engaged in warfare with dark forces. I'm so afraid...

The ESPN feature on Daulton was a trip. They got John Kruk to say that "he's not crazy". All I have to say is, if John Kruk is the one vouching for you here, you're probably effing bananas.

Do yourself a favor, Cam... try and catch this month's Real Sports on HBO. I was in shock how whacked out this cat is.

Sounds like Daulton may have been catching all those years without a mask. Carl Everett in ten years?

As for the Crispin Glover thing...I've done some digging. Turns out he was in character for the movie Ruben & Ed a quirky character comedy that finally came out in '91. Apparently, the character is a deadringer for Crispin's behavior. Seriously. www.imdb.com/title/tt0102817/Turns out the man is a genius, not crazy.

I saw the Daulton piece on ESPN. It's got to be an act -- he's looking for a managerial job. The only way to get attention absent his playing career is to talk all this metaphysics stuff -- the lawbreaking will get you pub, but negative pub. Come up with this metaphysics stuff and there will be some baseball team, somewhere, desperate to put cabooses into seats who will say ''Hey, this guy was just crazy. What's the risk...?"

Watch the HBO piece, tejano... its so much worse than "I want a job." There's no way in hell anyone is going to hire this guy. Those things I wrote in my original post here? About talking to lizards, beaming up, etc? Straight from the horses mouth... ... this ain't no act...

I think Dutch should be Mike Tyson's agent. Talk about the joy that those two could bring us if they combined powers!

Thanks for the reference, Buffalo, I will check the HBO piece out. It is sad to see that he actually believes this stuff.

I saw both the HBO segment and the shorter ESPN one, and i was shocked. Last I saw daulton he was hoisting the world series trophy for the marlins. Just recently i was asking someone whatever happened to him. Well i got my answer: he took a jumped the couch (see Tom Cruise). It was actually pretty sad to hear his ex-wifes side of it. If he is really doing this in an effort to get a managing job, he even crazier than he appears. Who would hire such a nutjob?
