Yes Chris Paul is an incredible player - he's going to have a very big impact in the NBA if he stays healthy and productive. If OKC had anyone else with more talent than Claxton to put around him they wouldn't be competing for the last spot in the playoffs - which they will likely get because of Sacramento's schedule down the stretch - they would be in 5th or 6th. Now that there is some actual revenue flowing to that team because of their deal with Cox Cable, OKC selling out every game at the Ford Center (not a bad place to see a game or concert btw - they got everything right that the Verizon Center gets wrong), and lots of merchandise sales due to the move and Paul's season they can go on the free agent market over the off-season and pick up some talent - drafting more players like Chris Paul wouldn't hurt either. Btw, the guy is so mature - he does a ton of interviews all over Oklahoma - even calls in once a week to a morning drive time show in Tulsa to talk about the team and encourage fans in Tulsa to buy season tickets and game package tickets and put aside their dislike of OKC for a while and go to the games. I'm sure he couldn't care less about the rivalry between the cities and he probably doesn't want to be calling a morning talkshow at 8:45am on Thursdays, but he does it and is well spoken and funny on the air.

Chris Paul is the reason I hate "The NBA on TNT" and ESPN's NBA coverage.
I've seen way too many Pistons, Spurts, Heat, Mavs, Lakers, and Pacers games. I feel like 75% of the games on TV are those teams (throw in the Suns and Cavs for good measure... occasionally the Sixers). Granted there isn't a whole lot of interest in games with Toronto, Denver, Charlotte, Orlando, Golden State, OKC... but they have some exciting young players that should get a little exposure.
If only the NBA package weren't so expensive...

It is a sad, sad day my friend.

This is late but I must say I could not agree with you more. Its not as bad as when NBc had the rigts and showed only about six different teams per year during the regular season, but the young talent, especially on the East, is sick. Orlando is a playoff team next season. Toronto and Atlanta have some future stars.
