The NFL just announced that Tagliabue is retiring as Commish in July. Any chance we can bring him back to do to G-Town what he has done to the NFL? You would have to think that he would be an incredible fundraiser, though I'm sure he has plenty of other plans. From the looks of it, he is still one of the best rebounders this school has ever seen.

I saw Tags play with the Hoyas against NYU at MSG,when I was still in high school. He and Puddy Sheehan were the heart of the team. My father and I were sitting right behind WGTB broadcasting the game back to campus. NYU had a player, Filardi, who was fairly big, but a bit clumsy. The GU fans in attendance concentrated their efforts on him, and I still remember the phrase ringing in my ears: "Filardi, you're a turkey."

Nice qoute on ESPNews announcing his retiremen:
"Basketball was Paul Tagliabue's first love as he played hoops for the Georgetown Hoyas. Thus it is fitting that as the Hoyas return to their glory days, Paul prepares to step down from his" (something like that)
kind of cool to see all those georgetown references
