Jones hit it anyways...and they win, but the trend is incredibly troubling.
All I'm saying is...if that was my Celtics, there is a 0.0% chance anyone but Paul Pierce is taking the final shot when down by 2 with 4.5 seconds to go.
I'd say the same thing is true for Iverson, Kobe, Carter, McGrady, etc...why not LeBron? This is like the 5th or 6th example this season...the only other player I can think of like this...KG.

Its not troubling at all. LeBron is doing the right thing. HIs game isn't like Jordans or Iverson. LeBron is one of the best passers I've seen quite a few years. He is good at setting his teammates up to put them in positions to win. Its about winning, right? Sure he can score and put up numbers. However, LeBron isn't the one-on-one player like Vince Carter, Paul Pierce, Kobe, Iverson, etc. where he creates his own shot for a game winnner. He can get his shots off, but in a different manner. His game is different. The last 2 games he did this it was the right decision and the Cavs won. That is what matters. I think its troubling to some because they see Lebron as a Michael Jordan, and his game is just different from Jordan's. Lebron has his own unique style and has his own game. He lacks the killer instinct like the great ones, but he is not afraid to set-up teammates to help his team win. He still a part of the process. What KG does is play hot potato. He doesn't want the last shot at all. He wants no part of it. LeBron has taken last minute shots, they may not have gone in, but he is involved in the play at the end that seals the victory. He has had problems lately of choking in the 4th, but I think he is realizing what his game is right now and that is creating all the attention so he can set up teammates for open looks. Remember, Jordan passed up game-winners to Kerr and Paxon. KG isn't part of the last-minute process because he doesn't assert himself. He wants no part of it. He just wants the salary of that type of player. There is a difference.

Ya my boy D. Wade (who unfortunatley comes from marquette) would never give the ball up with 2.0 seconds left. He specializes in coming through in that situation for the Heat. Yet it worked out for Lebron yesterday with DJ making the three, so can you really fault him for it?

I watched that game...and many of his games this year (NBA Season Pass) and I can tell you he creates for three quarters every game...then just disappears for the last 5 minutes.

I watched that game...and many of his games this year (NBA Season Pass) and I can tell you he creates for three quarters every game...then just disappears for the last 5 minutes. I never said he couldn't create his own shot. I said he couldn't create in the manner like Jordan, Iverson, Kobe, Pierce, Wade, or Vince Carter. His game is different. They have the finesse and fluid, east-to-west parts to their game that LeBron doesn't. LeBron is more power, north-south type explosion, and takes it to the hole or shoots fade-away jumpers. Right now he has to score a lot of points because he is their only scorer. In time, I think his points per game will drop when he gets better personel around him because he has a lot of talents outside of scoring. And I think his team will be better for it. Lebron's game is most effective when he doesn't have to score 30 a night and he can set-up his teammates. Which is different from Iverson, Kobe, Pierce, and Jordan. They can score a lot, do other things, be effective and still help their team win. I think his game is rather unique and its unfair to compare him to the greats of today. NOt because he isn't as talented or he is 21. Its because Lebron has his own game and it is effective. What is lacking from him is the killer instinct. Some say you are born with that. I don't know. He may be another David Robinson, Hall of fame player stats who couldn't get it done in crunch, was soft, and lacked a killer instinct. Who knows?

That's all I'm talking about...the killer instinct. Yeah, I mean I just saw Carmelo win another game for Denver against Philly tonight. Game-winning shot and game-winning free throws. Will we ever see Lebron like that? I don't know.

He needs to spend time in some dojo this offseason to learn the meaning of the word "onions" per Mssr. Rafferty.
