First of all, the_way, if you're all about what is 100% true, you would have never said "Bonds is a good guy." He isn't. He's the most miserable, selfish human being in sports. Do you remember when he was arrested in 1993 after his then wife reported that he grabbed her around the neck, threw her against their car, and kicked her while she was on the ground. YA he's a "good guy" alright. Good call. With that personality flaw said, he's also a cheater. This maybe the less offensive of his two major detriments because many of his contemporaries cheated too. Bonds used steroids, and in the congressional testimony we found out that Mark McGwire did not "want to bring up the past", and Sammy Sosa forgot how to speak english. They both used. Oh and Palmeiro too. Who belongs in the Hall is going to be an interesting discussion but I hope we all can agree on one thing: It'll be a damn shame if Bonds breaks Hank Aaron's record. A damn shame. We all have faults and we all have flaws. Well then again, maybe you don't.

Again, Bonds has had his share of mess-ups. But he isn't the first person to do so. My point is he is not Satan, but he is treated as such. Others have done a lot worst but receive not as harsh of treatement. This is a book that we do not know is true, yet people believe NOW that he was using? Nobody questions the source or motive of these guys who wrote the book. But they quickly questioned the validity of Jose Canseco's book didn't they!? How ironic. The bigger issue is not Bonds allegedly taking steriods. This has story of whether he allegedly did has been going on for years now. What you think is what you think based on what you have seen and heard. My point is why anger and hostility directed towards, Bonds. Sure, you may not like the guy, even though you may have met him. But hatred and venom? That is a whole other ballpark (no pun intended).

I don't know, way, it's apparently not 'source', it's about 200 source s. sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/magazine/03/06/growth.doc0313/Seems like a bit more than coincidental or something made up by guys with a vendetta of some sort against him.

I hate him for the mockery that he has made of baseball. The records and statistics kept in baseball are a more important part of that sport than any other sport, and what he, McGuire, Sosa, Giambi, Boone, Palmiero, et al, have done make me sick. McGuire was my favorite non-Cub for years, and nothing was more exciting than when Sosa got on a tear. These guys will all be remembered like the East German swimmers from the eighties, holding unbreakable, ultimately meaningless, records. Bastards, all of them.

I think this latest book is just another nail in a coffin that has been shut for years. Doesn't matter how many records he breaks, in majority of fans eyes he is just a cheat. Its too bad he distracts everyone from whats important in baseball right now: the World Baseball Classic (oh wait team usa just lost to canada, feel free to distract attention)
