Do:
Come on and tell us how great we are after we smoke you by 30.
Don't:
Post at all, obnoxiously or not, after your team has defeated ours.
Do:
Keep your mouth shut when Frank Black tears you a new one.
Don't:
Quote meaningless numbers to try and convince us that your school even approaches the academic caliber of ours.
Do: Go back to your board and remark how intelligent and insightful the discussion around here is.
Don't: Go back to your board and encourage fellow trolls to flame us with your third tier college education
Do: Agree with whatever we say.
Don't: Pile on the criticism of our team, no matter how negative we get.
Do: Admit that we're better than GW.
Don't: Use the S-word.
Others?

Do: Admit your school's ex-"student athletes" (can't call them alumni) introduced performance-enhancing substances into the sport.

GW Troll Here!
Can't comply with most of this since GU and GW don't play each other.
The GW board knows all about you, but since you are ranked lower than we are, we comment rarely on you.
Who is Frank Black? The lead singer from the Pixies?
Your academic luster has faded somewhat lately, more kids want to go to GW now. It's okay, at least we're not American, Catholic, George Mason, or UMD. Georgetown is still a pretty good school, tho.
when using terms such as 'third-tier', Strunk and White suggests hyphenation. You should review your sentence structure for basic grammatical errors before challenging our education.
GW is better. That is what everyone else who follows NCAA Men's Basketball thinks, if you make the tournament perhaps we will be able to play to decide once and for all.

Don't:
Insist you have a life. None of us do, and we don't even keep up appearances anymore. Neither should you.
Do:
Post on the Pro Sports board, if you're from Syracuse/an SEC team. You fit there.

On Presidents' Day, GW Basketball Moves to No. 6 in AP Poll and USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll ;D
Colonials' 16th Straight Week in AP Top 25
Feb. 20, 2006
WASHINGTON, DC -- The George Washington men's basketball team moved up one spot to No. 6 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll and jumped two spots to No. 6 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Top 25 Poll released today (Feb. 20). It marks the 16th straight week in the AP Top 25, the longest single-season streak in the program's history. GW's No. 6 AP ranking is its highest ranking since being ranked No. 5 the week of Feb. 15, 1955. GW has spent three other weeks at No. 6 in the AP poll, all during the 1954-55 season (Jan. 4, Jan. 25 and Feb. 8, 1955).
GW was ranked 13 straight weeks during the 1954-55 season including the all-time high of No. 5 for the week of Feb. 15, 1955. GW was ranked for 19 straight weeks in the AP poll beginning in the 1954-55 season and continued through the week of Jan. 10, 1956.
At 22-1, George Washington is off to its best start in the 92-season (99-year) history of the program. Saturday's victory over Richmond extended GW's winning streak to 14 straight games, longest in the nation. GW and No. 1 Duke are the only one-loss teams remaining in Division I.
GW's Feb. 11 victory over Saint Joseph's eclipsed the school's previous record for the fastest start in 1953-54 when GW won 19 of its first 20 games. GW's 12-0 Atlantic 10 Conference record also is its best start in 30 seasons as charter members of the Atlantic 10 Conference.
AP Top 10 W-L Votes 1. Duke 25-1 1,789 2. Villanova 21-2 1,700 3. Connecticut 23-2 1,655 4. Memphis 24-2 1,615 5. Gonzaga 22-3 1,513 6. George Washington 22-1 1,375 7. Texas 22-4 1,294 8. Illinois 22-4 1,143 9. Pittsburgh 20-4 1,142 10. Tennessee 19-4 1,123 ;D

I'm assuming, because you can type and use the interweb and such and so therefore are not completely braindead, that you must mean that "more kids want to go to GW now than used to in the past."
This would be accurate. More is a relative term. For instance, more GW students can read now. This is true. Formerly there were none, now I've heard that as many as %5 of each incoming class knows their letters up through T, and %2 have even read, "big boy chapter books" with no pictures or anything.
If you meant that more want to go to GW than Georgetown, then please ignore my kind words above and drag your foggy bottom out of here.
Less talky, more leavey.

elrod is such a Edited-bag. just an FYI elrod, the individual you are questioning on sentence structure is a Columbia Law school student. maybe you should pick your battles. by the way, you are delusional. that is all. My Gosh! I have questioned a Columbia University Law School Student! How could I make such an egregious error! Thanks for pointing that out. When he gets out of diapers perhaps we can talk about a job xeroxing for me @ $140k. I guess he couldn't get into the more prestigious GW Law Center. Too bad for him. Oh, btw, GW has a better BBall team than Columbia too. And yes, we all have no life if we are on here. However, some of us have a sense of humor. Be among them. These boards are for entertainment purposes only.

Do: Expect trolls to surface when you invite them by creating rules for their posts
Don't: Expect Trolls to respect your silly rules
Do: Realize that Trolls make it so you all can focus your hate and frustration on them, rather than on your team or each other
Don't: Hate the Troll, Hate the haters.

Don't: make Jack angry, or he might start posting about your school's lack of academic prowess, diversity, and commitment to need-blind financial aid.

Go get your jollies at GeorgetownWaitlist.com or wherever it is you hacks congregate (it sure isn't at Smith Center from the sound of things). By the way, donate your $140k to GW: they need it to retain all the people ready to run out the door when a better offer comes along--like Karl Hobbs or your entire law faculty.

I'm not going to take as much offense to Woof-Woof's rules, as I assume they are directed at a minority of GW fans. Haven't seen any of them flame here, though I haven't been looking too hard. They are incredibly overrated, but also deserve their moment in the spotlight. We welcome all posts at RingOutAhoya.com, whether you've just beaten us or lost a tight one. Hard to avoid coming back when the basketball discussion is usually so good. In fact, I was invited back! DoubleOhHoya took the liberty. "Actually, come back to us this time next week. We plan to take care of this discussion by then." He was right, the discussion was taken care of.

Interesting complaint about grammar when he writes "tho" in the sentence before his compaint.

Please, the list was tongue-in-cheek, until Elrod when nuts.
Though dienertowade, I am disappointed in you. I'm not a big fan of gloaters (however subtle) when I know they know the depth of the opposing side's passion. It would have been better to read our board with quiet joy after last Thursday, rather than post anything, regardless of how harmless you phrased it. This isn't a place to visit when there's a three-game losing streak afoot. We come here to commiserate with fellow Hoyas loyalists, not to deal with outsiders, particularly those who favor teams that recently defeated us.
