Ok, I'm happy for you, we've already been in Sports Illustrated many, many times over the years. Coming over here to make a post like this just shows how much of a joke your program is. Enjoy it while it lasts, you may never get in SI again.

This is a joke of the first order. Slappy can now go back to the GW forum and talk about how GU folks seem to be discussing GW hoops on their board. You guys had your shot to come and play our guys in the KL, and most of them were perpetual no shows.

Isn't this week the swimsuit issue? Are WG players modeling their fabulous Speedos? Perhaps Hobbs is a special friend to a gentleman who prefers him in an itsy-bitsy, teenie-weenie, buff and gold polka-dot bikini?
I wouldn't get too worked up about an "Inside College Basketball" article. They're usually pieced together by hack writers who get their material from AP stories and beat writers. Save your enthusiasm for a late March article if you truly think your "we should get a #1 seed if we win out" team is any good.

Would anybody at GU care about GW in the slightest if we weren't for their inferiority complex-stricken fans always whining about GU and always trying to prove they're better than GU all the time? I know I wouldn't.
I think the GW fans sort of wish we were jealous of them, but I highly doubt any Georgetown fan would trade our coach, conference or players for theirs. I think most of the dislike for GW on Hoyatalk and among Hoya fans in general comes from their fans always whining and always worrying about how they're perceived relative to the Hoyas.
At the same time, I think some of our fans are just as bad for constantly feeding into it. Seriously, why root against GW? I don't have anything against any of their kids and in fact I think Hobbs is a good coach. If you hate on them for being good (rather than for their fans being annoying) then you're proving them right.

I would _love_ to be in the A-10 and beat St. Joe's by 2 and be considered a top 3 seed .... oh wait .... I have self-esteem ...
As for RB's point's: gotta love the team. Gotta love what Hobbs is doing, even with a 200+ SOS. Gotta love GW giving us another excuse for calling out UMCP. But the fans ... oh man ... it's like being a senior watching freshmen stumble through the same things we stumbled through when we were there. I am happy for them - couldn't be happier. But please stop with the p***s envy. It's unbecoming, and becoming a drag.
Although if fate smiled on us .... we'd be the 5 seed, GW'd be the 12, and we'd do all the nasty things to 12s that 5s are supposed to do.

A good example of the inferiority complex: Hoya Blue decided not to run a bus to the GU-GW hockey game this weekend because it was really late and during senior parents weekend and there wasn't as much interest in the game from the students as the Virginia game. According to my roommate who plays for the GU hockey team GW brought a few really drunk fans with HUGE inferiority complexes to the game who were quiet most of the time because GU destroyed GW - and then said "play us in basketball" at the end of the 3rd period - hilarious. Only they would go to such lengths to show their obvious inferiority complex as selling the F Georgetown shirts, coming to our home games, and their drunken display at the hockey game this weekend.

Remember that time we were on the cover and Ewing and Pops were with the President? Yeah that was pretty sweet.
