Watch yourself SirSaxa. There are those among us who will spin it to say that he almost cost us the game by missing the one FT at the end of the game. They'll also point to his two turnovers as reasons why the game shouldn't have been close anyway. As for me, I will continue to have a big wide grin each time Ray comes in and plays well.

It's simply a case of "Good Ray" overcoming "Bad Ray" : ) And by the way, how important has Darrel been lately? Big round of applause for the guy -- we always knew he was talented, but now he's shown he can be mighty clutch, too!

It is almost as if the Hoyas have to spot their rivals a big lead in the first half before getting into their buzzsaw mode.

Pssh, it's his job to make FT's and not commit turnovers. Seems like we've got pretty embarassing standards if we are applauding someone for doing the bare minimum. I think you're joking, but just in case you're not. It's also the job of the other team to force turnovers and not commit them and Ray had two steals to go along with his two assists today. I love the fact that he got to the line today, because he seems to be able to knock down the FT's.

And I figured you were joing too, so no harm no foul. But as someone who praised Jonathan Wallace to no end after his performance against Rutgers for adding something to our offense by taking the ball to the rim and driving, you have to give Reed props here.
Seemed like we were falling into the too many predictable long jumpers trap again in the first half. What you've got to remember with a guy that shoots 8 FTs in a half is that means he got fouled 4 times, and most if not all of Reed's were when he attacked the glass. He also has a layup and a few assists to go with. So good job to Ray Reed today for channeling his inner Braswell and providing the extra spark where the offense needed.

"The Hoyas finally tied the game midway through the second half, then went ahead for the first time since the opening minutes when two free throws by Ed Reed made it 57-56."
As cool as it would be to have the nfl defensive player of the year out tackling the competition, Ray Reed deserves the credit for the free throws. Maybe we could recruit Ed though. I'm thinking intimidation and pain

I think the lesson of this game is that we can rely on some one outside of JG, BB, and AC to step up for us down the stretch. Whether it be Owens, Reed, or some over looked quality minutes from Hibbert and AKD - I think we have more depth than we give ourselves credit for. And we get Ross back - and he's another important roll player for us as well.

You have to give JTIII credit for giving Reed that chance and give Reed credit for coming through. It was clear that today was not Wallace's day. He was fouling or getting beat on defense and struggling on offense. Reed came in and immediately turned it over with a charging foul. JTIII stuck with him and he got a steal, a lay-up, drew fouls and made his foul shots, had a couple of nice assists, and kept his man from driving. JTIII will play the team that matches up best, and has a great ability to read the game situation. Reed seems to have figured out his role as a defender and as a penetrator when the threes are not falling. When that role is called for, he will be in the game. A key to the game was the defensive effort in the 2nd half. Hoyas forced more turnovers, made 'nova shoot contested jumpers, and rebounded the ball.

Didn't get to see the game but Chotvin described it pretty well. LOVED the win and LOVED that Ray came in in the clutch. Missed free did not take away from his key clutch plays in the final four minutes.
WHAT A WIN!!!!!!!!
