could it be that the knicks are finally coming to their senses and realizing that they have a serious budding talent on their hands? most serious knicks fans i know (none with Gtown affiliations) are really liking what they see. he has been coming on very strong as of late in still limited minutes. he was the best player on the court (i'm serious) for long stretches against the rockets the other night. nothing would make me happier than to see h. williams give him 26-30 minutes a night for the remainder of the season and let him earn the starting role he deserves.

Sweets has been downright unstoppable in the low post of late. He's really figured out how to get his shot off against bigger players - he schooled Yao against the Rockets twice. He absolutely should be starting, and Kurt Thomas (while playing pretty well) should be shipped off for some youth or picks. The only issue with Mike is defense. He picks up stupid fouls on reaches while trying to help out. And he sometimes looked lost on rotations. Man up, he does fine. But he needs to be more aware and get over to help faster.
Sweets should be a starter, and he should play 30+ minutes a night. He'd give the Knicks 18 pts and 11 boards with a great shooting percentage. He's just a rock solid PF, and I hope they finally get it through their heads.

Takes awhile for the NBA teams' decision-makers to figure things out ........... Best thing to happen to this player was to find himself with a desperate cellar-dweller whose starter was out with an injury.... www.hoopsworld.com/article_11403.shtmlThe number of trades he's gone through, without a crack at PT, has been just dumb-founding.

Mike's his own worst enemy right now. Dude is practically fouling out in every game.

That trade is nothing but NY tabloid fodder. Aside from when it's being dismissed as ridiculous, the MN media never mentions it, because it'll never happen. McHale would never trade an all-star talent for an average to good Eastern Conference (read-undersized) PF. Where would they put him? Garnett's playing the 4 already, and they aren't going to move him to center or to SF-they've got enough talent there already. If the Wolves trade Wally World for Thomas, then the entire front office needs to be fired.

Sweets went for a career-high 19 points last night in another shameful Knicks performance against Boston. I don't know where my Knicks are heading, but I just hope that come next season, Big Mike is starting, with JYD getting big minutes off the bench.
LET'S GO HOYAS!!! WIPE OUT WEST VIRGINIA!

Another 19 for Mike yesterday, along with 7 boards in 28 minutes, in the Knicks win over Golden State.
