I think for the last 2-3 season, the Moonie Times has done a better job with covering the program than the WaPo. Davis and Wright should be commended.
I can't believe I just said that about that rag. Time to take a bath...

Wow, oh. This just re-confirms my comment that Wallace and Green are my heroes. Breath of fresh air is right. Green is just amazing, "Rudy can have it." Wow, I mean, that is just amazing. That got me so pumped, I really want to just sit down with him and talk to him for an hour about basketball. Great great stuff.
(The times does a much better job than the post on Gtown bball)

Wow! That gives me so much hope in both the present and the future. With maturity like this from freshmen and the recruiting class we have coming in next year and Brandon and Ashanti's senior years - the BE better watch their backs this year and get ready to get pounded next year.

--"I learned the value of hard work from my father and grandfather," he says. "If I wasn't playing ball or studying, I was working on the farm, come rain, sleet, snow or whatever. That will teach you moral values. That will teach you toughness, qualities that translate to athletics. Experiences on the farm, just like things I learned playing quarterback [at Sparkman High], complemented my basketball game. Maybe the most important lesson I learned was that hard work can make up for a lot of deficiencies."--
My goodness! Where does an 18 year old learn to talk like that. Sounds like he could have been admitted to Princeton without his basketball prowess.

I always find it funny when two Patriot League schools or Ivy League schools play, they have to tell you a million times about their students.
Meanwhile, the 'Nova - Georgetown game features what might be the smartest point guard battle you'll see anywhere on a purely academic basis with Nardi and Wallace. The only difference is their basketball is more entertaining to watch. (Although nobody without a ticket can watch it, but that's another issue.)

Green says he believes in the old values....and Allen Iverson! because he plays hard all the time and gives it all he's got.
Great quote. He recognizes what Iverson is all about -- incredible effort and determination to win -- but doesn't feel he needs the tatoos and 'tude.
It is great to see that Allen still has a lasting and positive impact on Hoya hoops.
The best article we've seen on GU in a long time... a couple of kids to be really proud of. And credit JT for Wallace and for getting these kids acclimated and productive... and leading the team.
The W Times has been doing a better job of covering the Hoyas for quite some time. Mostly due to Barker. As for the rest of the moonie rag, read at your own risk.

No one noticed this?
"Roy Williams saw the same thing, and Wallace was destined for Kansas before Williams left the Jayhawks for North Carolina, where he inherited a pretty decent point man named Raymond Felton. But even after Williams quit calling, Wallace never doubted his abilities."
Ended up for the best, I think. We got a heckuva player who will be here for four years.
Also, I think I know why JT2 never let freshmen talk to the media. Jeff's favorite book is "Pride and Prejudice"? He's gonna get a little ribbing for that. Of course, not from me. Jeff's a big guy.

Yeah, it definately has SF-kinda clears up where Wallace was from and what JT3 saw in him. Having a major program like Kansas recruit you means you are something special. Though, it does kinda ruin the whole "freshman walk on diamond in the rough" story.
