Stanford wins game 1, 30-20.
...game 2, 30-23...
...and a see-saw game 3, 30-25.

Very very respectable result. Stanford has swept their last 7 opponents including two top 10 teams. Seams like all 3 games were competitive.

I only "watched" online (via Stanford's Gametracker) but it seemed that the Cardinal coasted to an early lead and easy win in game one, same thing only closer in game two, and game three was actually a contast that saw the Hoyas with a late lead. Very respectable indeed. Something to build on for sure. game story: gostanford.cstv.com/sports/w-volley/recaps/091606aaa.html

From the article: "Georgetown lost 3-0 to No. 8 UC Santa Clara. Robinson led the offensive effort with seven kills; she also led the Hoyas with a .375 hitting percentage." Not a part of the UC system ... just a little private west coast jesuit school. Recently referred to as "the Georgetown of the West" by NY Times.
