Jeff really put the team on his back last night. Whenever a big play was needed, Jeff came through with a monster block (and they were truly monster blocks-- wish the game was on TV, because they'd definitely be on Sportscenter). Or when the shot clock was winding down and he nonchalantly threw up a three...and hit it.
My favorite thing about Jeff is his intensity. I'm glad he's on our team, because it's really an angry intensity (when he has the ball or is going for a board). I was sitting in the young alumni section and Jeff missed an FT late in the game and screamed "F**K"!!! I feel pity for his opponents. Oh wait, no I don't.
Anyone else see Ted Leonsis sitting courtside? I looked over when we hit a big shot, but there was nary a clap or cheer for the boys (I really wanted to use the word "nary," sorry). Seriously Ted, at least look happy or something.

So I should have the sound on for your animation, right? Jeff also had a block during the second half where the guy got knocked to the floor and Jeff just stood over him and glared at him, like he would kill him if the guy ever came in the paint again. Nasty. Filthy. Also on the highlight reel. I cannot wait for the Jeff Green buzz come mid February, as we start making life difficult for the conference. Don't see us doing more than playing spoiler (a 7-9 conference record is doable, but still hard), but people will have to take notice of this kid. He is just too good.

Yes, if you turn the sound on, you'll find the answer to the animation. It's been amazing how the frosh have stepped up--Green and Wallace especially. Green with his toughness and Wallace with his floor leadership. They're not playing like freshmen right now, which is why we've had more success than we expected going into the season.

Did you also notice all of the a** kissers sitting around Leonsis chuckling at his every comment? Man that must be pretty annoying to be stupid rich and have people suck up to you all the time (I am being serious).
Did he go to undergrad or grad? I think I only saw him clap once.

Well, I will give Ted his props as an alum who has donated generously to American Studies (of which he is an undergrad alum), among other programs. And watching years of Crapitals games must have deadened his sense of excitement. But watching his retinue was pretty funny. And I get no sound on hoyahoyasaxa's animation. What does the guy say? TELL ME!

It's a reference to a Radiohead video... At risk off going off topic . . . . Fan of the band, but I haven't watched MTV in about 15 years, not that Radiohead would be on there anyway. Which video is it? Thanks.

In the second half, the refs were letting the guys play inside, and Jeff must have blocked or altered shots on 5 posessions in a row. RU guards were noticably intimidated.. they stopped taking it inside on that play previously mentioned when Jeff blocked the ball into the student section and the shooter fell to the floor.
Wallace also had a GREAT game without hitting any 3's.. he took his man off the dribble a bunch. I like how different guys are stepping up for us every game. Ashanti was quiet and Bowman had an average game, but Wallace, Green, and DJ all played quite well.

It's an animated version of the "Just" video. Not a huge fan of Radiohead or anything, but I like the animation mostly because it is bizarre.
Favorite Wallace play of the game was near the end when he drove, faked a pass outside, and hit a layup. He completely faked the Rutgers defenders out of their shoes (probably because they're used to him passing more than driving/shooting like that).

I believe the song is "Just" on the album "The Bends"...the dialog is the exact dialog from the video, I'm sorry but they never reveal what the guy says -- the subtitles stop -- and in the end everyone ends up lying on the street next to him after they hear what he says.
