www.washingtontimes.com/sports/20050112-121411-4623r.htmI really enjoy reading this guy's columns. And a question, is Green continuing to get better -- almost every game? it sounds like it. He was really impressive in Hawaii -- sounds even better already! I am amazed at how quickly he has come along. Wow, was he ever underrated coming out of HS. Likewise Wallace if you ask me. JT3 is doing far better than we could have hoped. 2-1 after our first three conference games??? And a great comeback after an atrocious half. That shows a lot of character. Congratulations to our team.

It's nice to actually get some opinion on the Hoyas instead of just a recap. I don't think I've seen any non game stories on the team in the Post except for the one story about Ross. Guess I should start reading the Times.

"If you play with heart, that kind of overrules everything else," said Wallace, who finished with 11 points, three assists and no turnovers. "If you keep coming at your opponent nonstop, sooner or later you're going to come out on top." I got a little teary eyed when I read this quote from Wallace. This is "oldschool" Georgetown basketball. Isn't it refreshing to read the affirmative comments from the players about what they did to procure the win ,instead of the " we need to box more, or we need to take better shots" etc. from the last 4 years. Wallace a freshman point with 11 pts, 3 assists and NO turnovers. wow!

Davis quotes JT III, "This group [team] continues to fight, to try to figure out how to fix whatever rut we're in." I love this team. As a matter of fact it is quickly becoming one of my favorite Hoya teams, if only because of their heart.

Gentleman Barker got it right on: This was an ugly, gutty, scrappy win. Not gonna make fans out of nonfans, but I'll take an ugly win any day.
Gotta be able to play and win ugly as well as pretty. Good to see it.
Bring on the Wildkittens.
