The horrible flu/respiratory illness that has been plaguing the student body these past few weeks hit the women's team, and was responsible for their bad performance. They are pretty upset about what happened at the meet, especially in the relay. Several are still trying to recover, train, and keep up with their schoolwork at the same time. They are looking forward to the start of outdoor season, though, and think they will do well.
They also love the new track in Yates. The surface is spectacular--I've tried it myself and it is speedy. The blue and grey motif is classy. Now the team has decent indoor and outdoor facilities.

Thanks, Rockycat, that sure explains the situation in the DMR. The Hoyas had some bad breaks at the NCAA meet with the men and women. Good to hear about the Yates facility.
