I don't know how competitive we'll be, seeing as how we went 3-14 last year and 3-15 the year before with an independent schedule that was probably much easier.
Nevertheless, good to see that Muir does seem serious about upgrading GU sports across the board.

Now, if Muir could just figure out a way to get Syracuse, GU, etc. to form a BE lax division...

Looks like Cuse, G'town and Notre Dame are the only Big East schools ranked in the pre-season poll (rutgers comes in with enough votes for 26th). So it could be that for the moment, the Hoyas are better served by a small ECAC (i think there are only six teams) which leaves enough room for a very strong OOC schedule, rather than a likely bigger Big East, which might water down the strength of schedule.
I think I remember someone mentioning that Syracuse is the biggest obstacle to the formation of a Big East lacrosse conference, though I don't know if this is true.
