I spoke to Megan O'Neill the other day about the Ellington track. She and the team are very happy to have the track, and she reports that the surface is extremely nice. She feels that it will help the team with indoor meets, especially, and it saves them a tremendous amount of time because they don't have to travel. I asked her if she felt that the unconventional length of the track was a problem, and she didn't think so. I tried the track myself with my training partner in the rain the other day, and the surface was surprisingly good. We had great traction.
There does not appear to be any type of official schedule or limitation of access to the track, except perhaps when the teams are practicing. We have gone at various times and it has been open and available for the community to use.

Thanks for the info, Rocky. Must be helping the team, because they, like their bball brethen, are having a good indoor season.
